A Note from the Website Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1899 and affiliated in 1914, the Math centre conducts the following:

  • A publication section with 18 titles.
  • Daily worship, religious discourses, weekly classes and celebration of religious festivals like Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Nabi Day, Christmas Eve, Buddha Purnima and the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, the Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda. All the functions are attended by a large number of people.
Started in 1916, the Mission branch conducts the following:
  • A library with 13000 books and 43 periodicals and dailies,
  • An allopathic dispensary, including a mobile unit, dispensing about 42100 cases annually,
  • A junior high school with 225 boys,
  • A students' home with 60 inmates,
  • A vocational training centre, and
  • Primary relief involving distribution of clothes etc.
