A Note from the Webpage Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1938, this Ashrama which is situated in full view of the sea (Ramakrishna Beach), conducts the following:

  • A cultural and recreational centre for boys and youths with a small library for children,
  • A library and free reading room with about 8150 books
  • Daily puja, weekly scriptural discourses and occasional retreats for devotees,
  • An English medium high school in a locality a little away from the Ashrama with 277 boys and 240 girls
  • An allopathy dispensary treating about 2150 cases annually,
  • Two mobile medical units treating about 1,41,470 cases annually,
  • Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna and other religious celebrities, and
  • A doll exhibition on the life of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.
