A Note from the Website Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1966 and affiliated in 1989, the Math centre conducts the following activities:

  • Daily worship, religious classes and the annual Ramakrishna Mela.
The Mission conducts the following activities:
  • A large educational complex, mainly for tribals, is being developed, the pilot project of which has 417 students including 142 tribal boarders.
  • A vocational training centre functions with 39 tribal youths.
  • A charitable dispensary with allopathic and homoeopathic sections treats about 7500 cases annually.
The Mission conducts the following activities at a sub-centre at Agartala, started in 1962 and affiliated in 1985:
  • A free students' home with 3 boys
  • A library and reading-room with about 1725 books
  • Rural development projects in two tribal villages, and
  • Daily worship, religious discourses and celebration of the birth anniversaries of religious celebrities.
The Mission conducts the following activities at Dhaleswar:
  • A medical service and cultural complex is under construction and treats about 23,600 cases annually.
  • Daily prayer and weekly religious discourses are held and festivals such as Durga Puja, Kali Puja, etc. are celebrated.
