A Note from the Webpage Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1921, this institution devotes itself to the task of village reconstruction through proper education. Its main activities include:

  • A boys' madhyamik school with 1046 students and a hostel with 200 boys, of whom a few are granted  concessions,
  • A girls' madhyamik school with 1023 students and a hostel with 184 girls, of whom a few enjoy concessions,
  • Four units of junior basic school with a total of 526 boys and 481 girls,
  • Two units of junior basic training institute for women teachers with 40 trainees,
  • A technical section which trains 16 women in weaving and embroidery crafts,
  • A library with two branches with a total of about 21,300 books and 7 periodicals and newspapers,
  • Medical service for rural people in collaboration with Seva Pratishthan and a homoeopathic out-patient dispensary which treats about 15,000 cases annually,
  • A community centre for women with 121 trainees, and
  • Observance of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, the Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda.
