A Note from the Webpage Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1958, this institution conducts the following activities:

  • A residential high school with a roll strength of 668. This school is considered a model school by the Government of India, offering stipends and scholarships to about 25% of its students including those belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. The school library has about 27,850 books and 76 periodicals.
  • A pre-basic (nursery) school with 50 children
  • A coaching centre for 50 poor boys of the locality,
  • A mobile audio-visual unit,
  • A miniature zoo
  • An archaelogical and science museum
  • A charitable allopathic dispensary which treats about 23,300 patients annually. It has special clinics for leprosy patients and for immunization of children,
  • A diary farm and a poultry farm, and
  • Religious discourses and observances of the birthdays of religious celebrities.
