A Note from the Website Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1928, this centre, its main feature being the publication of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature in Hindi and Marathi, conducts the following:

  • A students' home with 20 college boys,
  • A study circle which organizes debates etc.,
  • A charitable homoeopathic dispensary at Indora, a backward locality handling about 28000 cases annually,
  • An allopathic mobile medical unit handling about 37300 cases annually,
  • A physiotherphy unit handling about 30550 cases annually,
  • A publication department,
  • Publication of the Marathi monthly, Jivan Vikas (42nd year),
  • A library and free reading-room with about 41350 books and 93 periodicals and newspapers,
  • Regular worship and observance of the birth anniversaries of religious celebrities, and
  • Weekly spiritual discourses and lectures in and outside Nagpur.
