A Note from the Website Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

This centre, started in 1959, is housed in the mansion where Swami Vivekananda stayed twice as the honoured guest of the Raja of Khetri. It conducts the following activities:

  • A nursery school with 24 children,
  • A free maternity and child welfare centre away from the ashrama handling about 800 cases annually,
  • A homoeopathic dispensary handling about 4100 patients annually,
  • 3 vocational training centres with 56 girls,
  • A library and reading room with about 2850 books and 38 periodicals and dailies,
  • Welfare work by way of distribution of clothes, school stationaries, etc.
  • Lectures and meetings in and outside Khetri, and
  • Celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, the Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda.
