A Note from the Website Administrator
We have not yet been able to get in touch with this center and collect a formal appeal, which we plan to do over course of time but which might take a considerable while due to our having to get in touch with a large number of centers, the remoteness of the centers, as well as their not having any readymade formal appeals in hand.

What we have portrayed below, therefore, is the philanthrophic/charitable activities conducted by this center as submitted in their annual report to the Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters.

As should be obvious, all philanthrophic/charitable activities of Ramakrishna Mission are supported through contributions from kind hearted folks and/or institutions.

Started in 1920, the Mission branch conducts the following:

  • An ME school with 211 boys and 192 girls,
  • A free students' home for 55 tribal boys,
  • A charitable allopathic dispensary handling about 13000 cases annually,
  • A rural mobile medical unit handling about 2750 cases annually,
  • A library and free reading-room with about 22000 books and 88 periodicals and newspapers,
  • National integration youth camps,
  • Monthly cultural meetings for youths, and
  • Occasional pecuniary help to the poor.
Founded by Swami Brahmananda in 1919, the Math conducts the following:
  • Daily worship, regular religious classes and discourses in and outside the premises,
  • Kali Puja celebrations and observance of the birthdays of some great saints,
  • A Publication Department for book in Oriya.
